Ahenny Cross.

Low on the stem of the North Cross at Ahenny a geometric motif is found in three rows on top of each other. Within the ring an interwoven web emerges from the sun symbol and weaves through and animates the dead stone. The cross as a symbol of death is covered by a force field of life that penetrates everything. The cross becomes the ñTree of Lifeî. Even today, the cross at Ahenny conveys some idea of the life-giving effect the crosses once had on men in tune with mythic religion.

Due to the hand casting and proprietary staining process, each of my plaques is unique. Each cross comes with a hanger embedded in the stone. The cross comes with a descriptive tag describing the original stone, explanation of the design or information on where the cross is located.
